Michael Zangl
Through my work in the animal shelter I have experienced again and again how very much good technical support is missing. Out of the wish to improve the everyday life for people and animals, I started Anigu – at first as simple help for organizations, today as platform for animal shelters and animal boarding kennels.
Stella Galster
As dog owner and with experience in dog care I know the daily challenges very exactly. At Anigu I can bring in this knowledge and work active on it to facilitate workflows for animal businesses.

Why we develop the Anigu animal management
Since many years I engage myself in the animal welfare. Around the year 2020 I started some IT projects in animal welfare organizations and then searched together with them for an integrated software that facilitates the everyday working life and reduces the administrative effort. But none of the available solutions fulfilled our requirements.
From this situation the idea for the Anigu animal management arose. Since I am a software developer myself and have specialized in the optimization of processes, I decided to implement this project myself.
Thanks to a matching financing we could start the trial operation with the first version in 2022. Since 2023 the Anigu animal management is also available to other animal shelters and subsequently animal boarding kennels. Since then we develop the software continuously – always in close collaboration with our users.
Our Mission
Our mission is to noticeably facilitate the everyday working life for animal businesses, especially animal shelters and animal boarding kennels. We would like to simplify time-consuming bureaucracy and administrative tasks as far as possible, so that more time remains for the essential: the care and supply of the animals. So we make a contribution to a better animal care and provide at the same time for more joy in the daily work.
Innovation
Technology evolves constantly – and we evolve with it. Our goal is to identify new trends early and to use them where they offer a real added value to our customers. To this belong for example the use of Artificial Intelligence, electronic payment solutions, digital contracts or displays for status indication. Each of these technologies helps to design workflows simpler, faster and more efficient. Also in the future we will develop our software continuously further. Thanks to our Cloud platform all customers profit automatically from new functions, improvements and innovations – completely without expensive updates.
User-centricity
In the development of our software the person stands in the center. Instead of working rigid according to a fixed functional specification, we stand in close exchange with our users and their teams. Together we develop new concepts and functions, which are oriented at the actual requirements of the working everyday life. So we ensure that our software supports the real workflows in animal shelters and animal boarding kennels optimally – practice-oriented, flexible and exactly there where it offers the greatest benefit.
Animal welfare
Animal welfare is a central component of our corporate philosophy. While the current maintenance, the support and the further development of the animal boarding kennel functions are financed through our usage fees, the development of the animal shelter functions is largely made possible by other financing sources. Through this we can offer animal shelters and animal welfare organizations especially favorable conditions. From this mixed financing model profit also animal boarding kennels, which regularly take in animal welfare animals and thus make an important contribution to the animal welfare.

We rely on strong partnerships. Therefore we work closely with specialized companies and integrate their services seamlessly into our software – for example from the areas of financial accounting, payment transactions, animal registers and further relevant services. So we create a holistic solution, which makes the working everyday life of our customers even easier and more efficient. Would you also like to become our partner?
